We're
getting ready for the 24th Annual Frisco Festival!
August 22nd-23rd, 2008
If music makes the world go ‘round, Rogers
will be spinning with the array of musical talent lined up for this
year’s Frisco Festival. Ballet, magic, puppet shows and traditional
Festival competitions are packed between the musical performances to
keep Frisco Stage alive with a nonstop play list of high energy
entertainment. Hosted by Main Street Rogers, Frisco Festival comes to
Rogers Historic District August 22-23.
A 6:30 p.m. salute to our armed forces, police officers and firefighters
gets the Opening Ceremony underway Friday night. After the SpikeQuest
winner is recognized, the Rogers High School Pom and Cheer Squad will be
on site to work the crowd into a frenzy just before the traditional
Confetti Toss at 7 p.m. The Friday Night Street Dance lasts until 11
p.m.
Competitions are another big part of the Festival fun, and host Main
Street Rogers encourages you to sign up for your specialty. Some of the
events have deadlines before the Festival
weekend, so be sure to check the details on the ones you’re interested
in and let them know you’re coming.
